La Monarca Cravings: Fresh Mexican Treats & Authentic Aguas Frescas in Temple, TX

We've come here a couple of times for my go to snack un elote en vaso love the convenience of the drive thru! This time around we grabbed some aguas frescas that AJ recommended, she gave us the list of the ones they had and they all sounded so good but I had to grab a limón y pepino agua fresca. My husband stuck with his all time horchata and we took home a piña my brother had and it didn't even last 5 minutes! We also had a sandía piña one too that my husband and I shared! Need I say that we have now found a place that actually makes fresh aguas frescas and will be back for some more super soon! Once again thank you AJ for all of your help! You're great!!!

La Monarca Cravings is truly a gem in Temple! The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic with plenty of delicious options to satisfy any craving. Their ice cream and smoothies are outstanding—rich, refreshing, and made with care. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for families; kids love it here. Friendly staff, quick service, and a wide variety of choices make this spot a go-to for anyone looking for great food and a fun experience. Highly recommended!

La Monarca’s staff was so kind and helpful. When I got home the asada fries were amazing the fruits were fresh and the homemade crema they use tasted amazing. The corn was great too. The aguas frescas really helped with the heat. I would 100% come back and eat here.

What a great little place! I love that it’s family owned and that they make aqua frescoes and their Popsicles all In house! I had never had an aqua fresco so the owner gave me a few samples and it was super refreshing and I can’t wait for a hot day to go back by and get a big serving of it! I liked that they weren’t too sweet, but they had great flavor. I did get a mango popsicle and the first bite into the popsicle was a giant chunk of mango, which was delicious! I love healthier options in ice cream and this is definitely a great place for that. Now if you like banana splits and regular ice cream they’ve got a lot of choices there too! They have an outside area that’s cute and great for famines to hang out and plenty of parking, it’s right off 31st St. in Temple. There were tons of options for those that love frozen treats and even some fun candies and things. Definitely will be back!

Very good Mexican goodies here. The beef street tacos were delicious with the right amount of onions and cilantro. The banana split was a delight and enough for 2. The pipino split was ok, it is missing the true Tamarindo that goes on top. Instead it has gummy worm type stuff, and the mango sherbert is just ok. The Dubai chocolate strawberries were delicious. If your nearby. You must give them a try.

The burger was 10/10 perfect crispy buttery grilled bun. Even the fries were SO GOOD crispy and seasoned. The quesabirria tacos were ok but I do feel like the meat needed more seasoning. The agua frescos were amazing too. We were too full to try their sweets but will be back to try!!

Amazing taste to both the hamburger with fires and the strawberry cheesecake crème!!! Definitely a Hit!!! Make this a must try spot if you have never been! Will be back for sure!
